Maurice and Mandy’s Reign Of “Bad Luck”

Amanda “Mandy” Orr is the current partner of Maurice Gipson, who originally appeared in season three of Love After Lockup. When Maurice was on-screen, the viewers witnessed the events surrounding his relationship with his wife, Jessica. While Mandy may not have appeared on-screen, she made quite an appearance off-screen.

The last viewers saw Maurice, he committed a parole violation and returned to prison. Jessica – who had just given birth to their son – waited for him at their home in Las Vegas while he served his time in California. Allegedly Mandy began to write Maurice and send him money while he was serving his time. Maurice decided to be with Mandy instead when he was done with his sentence. As of press time, he and Jessica are not legally divorced.

The antics of Mandy and Maurice have entertained and infuriated social media users for months. Mandy’s over-the-top professions of love for Maurice have many amused or disgusted.

Mandy and Maurice have no visible employment means, but Mandy is constantly flashing money and possessions. As previously reported, Mandy and Maurice once had a rough week in the Fall, involving a car accident and being evicted. One wonders why Mandy did not dip into some of this cash so she wouldn’t be evicted.

Then, the unthinkable happened. Mandy’s string of bad luck struck again on Christmas Eve. Just when they were supposed to “fly out,” Maurice was arrested. As reported by Instagram’s Merrypants, these are SERIOUS CHARGES with an extremely high bail amount.

Never fear, though, Maurice. Mandy may not pay rent and risk homelessness with her daughter, but she will always find a way to bail her man out.

Mandy and Maurice are not homeless, though. Mandy recently shared that despite their difficulties, they got a new car and a new house. Of course – in typical Mandy style – it almost blew up in her face.

Despite all of Maurice’s legal troubles, he looks like he doesn’t have a care in the world at home. Let’s hope Mandy’s string of bad luck doesn’t continue, and Maurice can find a way to stay out of trouble until he has to face the music.

One thing about Maurice and Mandy is that bad luck seems to follow them everywhere. If you see them coming down the street – I would cross to the other side.
