Love During Lockup: Dalton Arrested on Assault Charges!!

Viewers met Haley Cole on the first season of Love During Lockup. Haley was memorable for various reasons: her distinctive black & white hairstyle, her relationship with her son & her “inmate” Dalton Edgin. Haley was the passenger in a car accident and received settlement money. 

A central point of contention between Haley and her mother was that Haley was sending substantial amounts to Dalton. Haley’s mother felt that Haley could be saving the money for her son Hendrix instead. Even Haley’s attorney expressed some doubts.

As previously reported, Dalton was originally scheduled for release on parole in early January 2023. Two months before his scheduled release date – in November 2022 – Dalton was rejected by the parole board to leave on his scheduled date in January 2023.

At the time, Haley had moved on – buying her own home and involving herself in a new relationship. 

Then, in early June – Haley and Dalton reunited with Haley posting a picture of them to her social media announcing “It’ll always be you 💛”.

Haley and Dalton spent their first Independence Day together – Haley posting “I had the best first 4th of July with you! Thank you for giving me fireworks!”

Haley also declared that she and Dalton have “family support” – saying in another post “They said the family wouldn’t support us. I have what matters”

Now it seems this relationship may have imploded as quickly as it ignited. Dalton was arrested in Denton County, TX on August 25, 2023 and was charged with “Assault with bodily injury to a family member”. He posted a surety bond of $3,500 and was released.

Haley – who recently switched back to an all dark hairstyle – has declared herself “single” and “focusing on myself and my SONshine” – declaring she was single and telling a fan “he hit me” in the comments of her post.

Haley then later posted to her IG story to explain what happened further between her and Dalton.

Haley – who has called herself a “waitress for life” will hopefully learn from, her experiences with Dalton and realize that he is not the man for her. Haley being a hard-working single mom has the right idea concentrating on herself and Hendrix. Love will come along when it’s right. What do you think? Drop me a comment below!
