Life After Lockup: Sara Explains Her Side

Sara Isaacs has gone through a lot this season on Life After Lockup. Anthony- her oldest daughter, Abby’s biological father – is back in the picture. Anthony is cleaning up his life and wants Abby back in it. Sara is reluctant because Anthony has not been consistent in the past. When she was in prison for six years, he had plenty of opportunities to help her mother with Abby, and he didn’t help. Sara doesn’t want to keep Abby from her father, but not if Anthony will break her heart again.

Then there is Shawn. He has no idea Anthony is back in the picture. Add the fact Shawn and Sara are having problems in the bedroom – things are even more complicated. Sara went out of her way to set up a sex swing in their bedroom – but Shawn was playing video games with his son instead. Then Shawn surprised Sara with a hot tub in their living room for a romantic night. Sara was too tired to dip in the hot tub with Shawn and slept instead.

Sara is getting new boobs! She decided to do this to feel better about herself and her body. Shawn is unhappy, but Sara is dragging him to the doctor for her consultation. Sara is getting her new boobs soon! She decides to go for a trial run with water balloons to see how they will feel and look. Shawn walks in on her, playing with her water balloon “boobs,” and tries to initiate sex – again. Sara turns him down – again.

Sara confesses to Shawn about Anthony being back in Abby’s life. Shawn immediately flips out. He feels like Sara has been lying to him this whole time. He thinks like Sara “doesn’t want him anymore.” Sara and Shawn are last seen on screen arguing about the Anthony situation.

Sara is in a tough spot on-screen and off-screen as well. Sara joined Kiki and Kibbitz for their Saturday Night Shenanigans recap of Life After Lockup episode 5, “Blindsided and Divided.” Sara and co-host Mary discussed the other couples on the episode. Sara provided well-rounded thoughts and opinions on the other couples this season!

According to Sara, Tayler “is a sweet girl but has a fire inside her.” She is not alone with money problems when it comes to Chance. Shawn also has a shopping problem! Sara revealed that she has Shawn on a budget, so maybe Tayler might want to consider one for Chance. Poor Blaine was “just trying to do the right thing.”

Marcelino’s “heart does not want to be there.” Sara says – while she sees feedback that Britney and Marcelino’s storyline is scripted- she believes the emotion played out in their scene is real. Sara is very proud that Puppy “got a backbone even for a minute” and threw Eric out of the car – but is shocked that Puppy destroyed camera equipment. Sara noted how in the notorious Monique and Derek “car chase,” the cameraman was holding the camera equipment. Apparently, camera equipment is costly and valuable.

Cam and Aris “are definitely not on the same page when it comes to job searching,” says Sara. Sara loved that even though Aris was mad at Cam, she still supported his song – just not at the moment. Cam “definitely has good intentions, just executes them wrong,” says Sara.

As for Derek and Monique, Sara doesn’t believe Derek is ready to “jump out and get into a relationship.” Sara doesn’t believe Derek is in love with Monique but rather “what she does and can do for him.” Sara thinks Derek cheating on Monique with ten different women within thirty days proves that Derek does not love Monique as much as he claims he does. Sara believes Monique can do better, and Derek is bringing her down. Sara also believes Derek is an instigator in the war with Monique and his sisters.

Sara also took the opportunity to clear up some misconceptions about her storyline. She is not leaving Shawn for Anthony. Anthony is in her past. She has her reasons for lying about the situation and regrets it now. Sara admits she handled the Anthony/Abby situation wrong initially. Sara also admits it was wrong to ask Abby to lie. Sara also clarifies Abby knows it is wrong to lie. Sara also explains that the scene in the park was not the “first” time Abby met Anthony. Abby was familiar with Anthony before the park scene.
