Love After Lockup: Prison Wives Alert!

This week fans of the Love After Lockup franchise were greeted with some not-so-shocking news. As seen before, the “felons” on this show have been rearrested after being released from prison. When Lindsey Downs was in a relationship with Scott Bradshaw in season three, the relationship ended badly with not only a breakup but Lindsey ending in jail, facing charges of possession of drugs and a firearm. She would eventually be released after serving 18 months. Harry Velez, on the other hand, has not been so lucky. After breaking up with Indie on Life After Lockup, as reported – he is back behind bars for, amongst numerous charges – assault on a police officer.

It should not surprise viewers that three former cast members may find themselves serving the roles of prison wives once again. Three former cast members have been running into trouble with the law recently. Their partners may soon find themselves back in an all too familiar role: The Prison Wife.

On March 18, 2023, John Slater – Lacey Whitlow’s current partner, was arrested in Virginia for “Drugs: Possession Schedule I or II.”. It is a “Class 5” felony charge in Virginia. John can face “imprisonment of one to 10 years, or confinement in jail for up to 12 months and a fine of up to $2,500, either or both”. He was later released on bail. John will also have to face the terms of violating his probation. He also contradicted some claims in an interview just a few months ago. Another “prison wife” who may not want to be thrust into the spotlight is Sarah Simmons. The “ex” and mother of Michael Simmons has been quiet on social media. Michael recently announced the birth of his first child with Maria. Michael was also arrested again in Miami. Having children from him – both women must be unhappy to hear this news about Michael. Michael was also later released on bail. Michael’s charges include obstruction of justice and assault on a peace officer (a firefighter!).

Finally, Andrea Jackson from season one of Love After Lockup – after a long silence on social media – made this announcement on Instagram:

WOTSR has spoken to a source who said Lamar was arrested for gun possession and will be serving his time for that crime. Andrea has resigned herself to the “prison wife” life again. Her posts indicate she will always be at Lamar’s side, no matter what.

WOTSR has requested the details of all the police reports for all three “crimes”. We will circle back with updates once the authorities provide the copies requested.
