Harry Velez Arrested Again: Do They Serve Mocha Frappes In Jail?

Indie Treadwell was introduced to viewers in season one of Love During Lockup. Indie met her “inmate,” Harry Velez, on a TikTok site dedicated to inmates seeking love. Indie and Harry immediately bonded. Viewers saw how Indie and Harry communicated through phone calls, video calls, and letters. Indie eagerly awaited his release from prison so they could start their life together with her two daughters. 

When season four of Love During Lockup began, Harry was being released from the halfway house. Indie and her youngest daughter were in the process of relocating to Ohio to be with him. Harry moved into his sister’s house as part of his parole requirement. So did Indie and her daughter. All the pressures of “outside” life would soon get to him.

It would soon be revealed that Harry was in another relationship while committed to Indie. Terry, the counselor at the halfway house – where Harry famously insisted on bringing cheeseburgers to when released – has also been whispering sweet nothings in his ear.

Terry is so seduced by Harry’s good looks and charm that she is willing to lose her job over him. Harry moves out of his sister’s apartment and moves into Terry’s. Indie is left to fend for herself in Ohio. Indie decides to pack up and move back home.

Even when the season was over on screen, the drama continued off-screen. There was lots of drama and mud-slinging back and forth between Harry, Indie, and Terry. Harry put Indie’s personal business out there. Indie put Harry’s and Terry’s personal business out there. 

Then it seemed all was good between Harry and Indie. Indie and Harry appeared on several Instagram lives together, seemingly friendly. Check out this video from Tracie Trendy, where Indie and Harry appear together on her Instagram live.

Harry has been rearrested, and the list of charges is serious. As initially reported by the original Ben Matlock of IG, Merrypants, Harry was arrested in the early morning hours of January 4th, 2023, driving erratically in front of the Huron County Prosecutor’s Office in Huron, OH. 

From The Norwalk Reflector: “The driver was initially hunched forward and believed to be reaching for something on the floor in front of him.” Harry ignored police orders to get out of the car and dragged an officer 50 feet with his car. A loaded firearm was recovered from the vehicle.

Harry may be facing serious charges and serious jail time. At least Harry is surrounded by love and support. His sister Carla responded to Merrypants’ post announcing the arrest by saying, “Love you bro ❤️.” Terry and Indie both jumped in on the comments to both clarify and scold fans for being judgmental.

First, Terry shows her support and love for her “Babi” Harry. She even encourages fans to send money and clothing to Harry. This is despite sources telling Word On The Street Reality that Terry and Harry are no longer “a couple.” Harry moved out of her apartment and moved in with Carla. Terry was even allegedly asked to leave Harry’s birthday party when she showed up uninvited. 

Terry also clarifies that Harry was not being selfish and was a “good boyfriend” when he got arrested.

Indie asks for compassion and empathy, especially for Harry’s daughter Ava. Fans, however, call her out on that – pointing out that Harry didn’t think of Ava with his actions. Fans called Indie out for her actions with Harry and questioned how she could still defend him.

Harry’s charges are severe, and his bail is very high. One must assume he will be in jail for a while to come. If there is any compassion to give, it must go to Ava. Ava will not have her father – again. Ava’s relationship with her father will consist of video visits, phone calls, and letters – just like with Indie and Terry. That is sad. All compassion should be directed to Ava.
