90 Day Fiancé: Kalani’s Shocking Accusation!

This season on 90 Day Fiancé: The Last Resort, viewers watched as five couples from the 90 Day Fiancé franchise invaded the Isla Bella Resort in Key West, FL, to receive couples therapy. As exclusively reported here, a team of therapists was recruited to help Yara and Jovi, Ed and Liz, Michael and Angela, Kalani and Asuelu, and Molly and Kelly sort through their relationship issues.

As exclusively reported here, the cast members also used the resort as their party central, resulting in Angela being evicted towards the end of filming. The good vibes between Angela and Molly on-screen quickly fizzled when Molly threw her on-screen best friend under the bus, and Angela was ultimately banned to a local Holiday Inn for the duration of filming. Therapy worked for some couples. Ed and Liz ultimately got married on August 29, 2023. Check out their wedding invite below. Their wedding was filmed, so viewers may likely see footage from their wedding on their television screens in the future.

Molly and Kelly, however, were not so lucky. Their relationship is over. As previously reported – Molly has moved on. She is currently dating a self-proclaimed “prison kingpin.”, who, as exclusively reported by Instagram’s Merrypants, is allegedly married. His family is reportedly shocked by this news as well. If all this news wasn’t shocking enough for 90 Day Fiancé: Last Resort viewers, Kalani made a shocking announcement on her social media yesterday, which made waves throughout the 90 Day Fiancé fan community.

The idea that Kalani suffered in silence shocked many fans and in the comment section of a video made by Mac.Chisme, on TikTok a fan, supported Kalani, stating, “Praying for Kalani’s healing journey. People forget that SA (sexual assault) happens in marriages as well.” Kalani responded to the fan, saying, “Thank you. One of my close family members told me rape doesn’t exist in marriage and I’m thankful my therapist told me otherwise.”

Unfortunately, the pattern of “not believing” or “victim blaming” Kalani continued in comments on social media posts, sharing her story of being assaulted by Asuelu during their marriage.

One fan said, “She chose to be with this man. She chose NOT to use birth control and knew she could get pregnant. I do not believe she was forced into having a second baby with him. As she would talk about their sex life with him and she keeps changing her story. I do believe she has been traumatized by his behaviour and serial cheating. But again she has chosen to stay!!! She has a really supportive family and could have easily left. The red flags for me is how many times she has gone on the show and SM and changed the story of their relationship.”

Kalani responded to this fan and others with the same mindset: “Ironically, you listed one of the reasons I never came forward: people threatened CPS from the beginning. I have been sexually, physically and emotionally abused, so I say this with everything in my soul: f*&#k you. My story of being assaulted has never changed, I have just never shared it on the internet. I know the universe will keep track of everything you’re saying and return it to you tenfold. Good luck with your breast cancer and everything else.”

Other viewers also have a skeptical view of Kalani’s accusations against Asuelu. Some think Kalani is trying to stay “relevant.” Some viewers question why she waited so long to say anything. Others ask why she stayed with her assailant for so long if he was sexually assaulting her in real life and why her family allowed this to occur.

Kalani does have supporters who DO BELIEVE and support her. Many understand the trauma she has been through. One fan eloquently said it best:

“If anyone understood trauma bonding and abuse they wouldn’t say the nasty things for her to have to address. She thought he loved her, obviously he didn’t and was ABUSING her. Narcissistic abuse is super high… he’s fake as crap with his tears and you watch the resort you can see true pain in her face having to discuss stuff on tv. I’ve been there you don’t want to speak of things because trying to put up a good front and keep the peace so to speak. I’m sure for her more because she truly did love him at one point and he USED her! When you are in love with someone who is an abuser you become trauma bonded and it’s hard to see truth until you hit the point when your DONE… she’s at her DONE a moment and not putting up with him anymore. At least I hope she is. Let her heal! Keep up the therapy Kalini!”

Other fans also used their own experiences to provide love and support to Kalani.

While Kalani may have moved on with her “hall pass” Dallas Nunez – find out more about him here – she is still traumatized over everything she went through with her relationship with Asuelu.
