Love After Lockup: Legal Woes Cast Updates!

Viewers are looking forward to a new season of “felons” looking for love – sometimes in all the wrong places – and to the storylines that will develop in this new season of Love During Lockup. However, some loose ends in some prior cast members’ lives need to be tied up – literally. As previously reported, some previous Love After Lockup franchise cast members recently found themselves in trouble with the law and are still dealing with the repercussions of their actions.

Maurice Gipson – Season 3 – Formerly with Jessica

As previously reported, Maurice went on a crime spree on Christmas Eve 2022 and amassed quite a list of charges.

His ever-loyal “partner,” Mandy, was willing to risk homelessness to bail her man out at the time.

Maurice has a pretrial settlement conference scheduled for September 1, 2023, at 8:30 AM. This is the latest in many motions filed since his original arrest in December 2022.

Michael Simmons – Sarah & Meghan Season 2 & 3

As previously reported, Michael Simmons was arrested in Miami on March 16, 2023, in the presence of his current wife (who also appeared on LALU to confront Sarah) Maria. According to the police report from the Miami-Dade police department, Michael was arguing with Maria in front of Big Daddy’s Liquor store. The police report further states that when the officer approached Michael, “he appeared to be agitated.”

The officer continues in his report, “The Defendant stated “Do you want to kill someone today! Because I’m leaving, so if you are going to kill someone, kill me” The Defendant began to stand up….gave loud verbal commands” Michael struggled with the officers but was eventually arrested and charged with” F/3Battery/Police Officer/Corrections/Firefighter/Transit” and “F/3 – Resisting Officer With Violence to His Person.”

Michael has a hearing concerning these criminal charges on July 28, 2023, at 9:15 AM.

Michael and Maria welcomed their first child in November 2022. Let’s hope Michael can take care of his criminal charges to be there for his children with his ex-wife Sarah and his baby daughter with his current partner Maria.

Harry Velez – Formerly with Indie – Season 4

As previously reported, Harry got in MAJOR trouble when attempting to do his girlfriend Terry a favor – perhaps a late-night mocha run? His attempt to be a knight in shining armor for Terry turned horribly wrong and resulted in Harry being indicted for a list of crimes that may have him in prison for a while.

Indie recently shared an IG story from Carla – Harry’s sister, to her social media, warning of a scammer using Harry’s identity to ask Love After Lockup fans for money.

Harry’s next court appearance is July 26, 2023, when it seems like the case is moving closer to the trial stage.

Nicolle Bradley – formerly with Daonte Sierra (?) Seasons 3 & 4

As previously reported, Nicolle was arrested in April 2023 for drug possession charges. As seen in her mugshot – it was not her best day.

It looks like Nicolle has accepted a plea bargain for her misdemeanor charges -which included five drug possession charges and driving with a suspended license- and has a court date scheduled for October 5, 2023, at 10:30 AM

Recently Daonte posted – then deleted – this social media post, which could – or could not – indicate he and Nicolle are in a romantic relationship.

Alex Bentley – Formerly with Glorietta – Season 2

As previously reported, Alex would eventually violate his probation and be re-arrested. His most recent arrest was stealing a child’s bike from someone’s driveway. The theft was caught on a RING home security camera.

Glorietta and Alex were both recently featured on Love After Lockup’s “Where Are They Now” segment, where Glorietta showed off her “revenge body” and confessed she while she is celibate – she has an “inner dominatrix waiting to come out.” Check out Glorietta live with Kiki and Kibbitz, where she divulges precisely how much she likes to “let her inner freak flag fly!”

Alex explained during his update segment that he intends to clear his legal issues with his parole officer so he can be home in time for the pending birth of his child.

Lamar Jackson – Season 1 – Currently with Andrea

As previously reported, Andrea has been lonely. Lamar violated his probation. Lamar was arrested on gun charges. He returned to prison, and Andrea was again “a prison wife.”

However, Andrea doesn’t have to worry about eating dinner alone; Lamar has been released from prison.
