90 Day Fiancé: Ronald Scamming on Facebook Marketplace? Tiffany is Not Having It!

Viewers first meet Tiffany Franco on season one of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way when Tiffany went to South Africa to marry Ronald Smith and live there with her son Daniel. Tiffany’s family was worried about her making such a big move – considering she didn’t know Ronald very well before she made a big move with her young son. In particular, Tiffany’s mom expressed her concerns.

When Tiffany arrived in South Africa, she quickly became concerned with Ronald’s spending habits and attitude toward her role in their marriage. Tiffany went home to the United States for a bit, and when she returned to South Africa, she let Ronald know that his poor choices were causing her to question her choice to marry him, to begin with.

Tiffany would eventually drop the bomb on Ronald in season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever Tell All that she was pulling the plug on her marriage. Ronald’s lying, stealing, and cheating were too much for her. She had tried to make things work for the sake of their daughter Carly, but she had enough.

Tiffany and Ronald would briefly unite after the Tell-All, but their marriage is definitely now over. They are still officially married though. The divorce is not final. Ronald has moved on with a new girlfriend, Lauren Fraser – whom Tiffany has stated publicly Ronald cheated with while in a relationship with Tiffany.

Ronald – whose questionable money habits due to his gambling addiction have come into question in the past – finds himself back in the spotlight. This time not in a flattering manner at all. A woman in South Africa is very angry with him and has gone to social media to blast him publicly.

Ronald has publicly defended himself via Screenrant. Ronald denies scamming the woman and insists he tried to remedy the situation as best he could, and the customer was “impatient.” The customer who placed the original complaint retaliated on social media – sharing several screenshots of a conversation between her and Ronald in Dutch.

There is another post on social media accusing Ronald of taking money instead of providing a product: “an inverter”. It is not clear if this is related to the same incident or another separate victim.

Tiffany went live on Instagram to explain her side of the story. While applying makeup from her makeup collection – she explains the whole “scamming situation” using pseudonyms as advised by her attorney- but it was easy to tell who “Robert” was in her story.

Tiffany told her viewers that she had been dealing with similar situations with “Robert” dating back to 2018. Tiffany further states, “Robert’s girlfriend is not the type of person where what is right and wrong is wrong.” Tiffany further says, “You can be a ride and die but you don’t have to be on the wrong side.”

Tiffany further states she got involved with the original “scamming situation” because the woman whose mother was scammed messaged Tiffany directly. Tiffany says once the story began to spread on social media and “threatened to ruin his sad dad image,” – he contacted the woman to refund her money. Tiffany asked her followers – “he pays her back -where do you think he got the money from? His little ATM”.

Tiffany continually repeats, “I won’t be on the wrong side,” and details how another woman contacted Tiffany about her “expensive relationship” with Ronald. The woman told Tiffany how she sent him $3,500, and the relationship ended “when Ronald said something disturbing to her and she messaged his girlfriend. So he blocked her”. Tiffany also revealed that a “Robert’s” family member contacted her asking if she knew his contact info because he “stole 20,000 rands we are going to the police”. Tiffany concludes she had always understood “Robert to be this way. Cunning and wonderful with words. But what makes me angry is his girlfriend left the comfort and safety of her home country to live this way. You are dumber than I thought”. See Tiffany’s entire explosive reel below.
