Tiffany and Ronald – Divorced or Not?

Viewers watched this season on 90 Day Fiance: The Single Life as Tiffany dipped her toe into the dating pool. Her first potential love match wasn’t paying her the attention she needed, so that relationship quickly fizzled out. Tiffany went out on another date, and while there may have been more sparks, she quickly ended it. Dan, however, promised to wait for her whenever she was ready to swim in the dating pool.

Tiffany then decided to return to the scene of the original crime: South Africa. She and Carly reunited with Ronald. As viewers learned on the Tell-All, this reunion was not all rainbows and unicorns. Tiffany told Shaun, her fellow cast members, and the rest of national television that she discovered Ronald was cheating on her within four days of arriving.

Despite spending four months away from her son, she could not make things work with Ronald for their daughter’s sake. Tiffany announced she was filing for divorce. She consulted with an attorney to start the process, and Ronald was unaware until that point. Ronald even admits to the camera that divorce may be best.

One thing for sure: Tiffany has dropped the “Smith” for her last name on Instagram.

And it seems like she and Dan now have a weekly Thursday date.

Since announcing that she was done entirely with Ronald, Tiffany is living her best life.

Now when it comes to the subject of filing for divorce and when and who is doing it, this is where things become messy. As mentioned, Tiffany announced on 90 Day Fiance: The Single Life Tell All Part 2 she was initiating divorce proceedings. Ronald then seemed to imply that he had started the paperwork and Tiffany was dragging her feet. In this post by Instagram blogger @90_days_or_life, there is a screenshot of a “Final Order of Divorce” from the “High Court of South Africa Gauteng Division, Pretoria.”

The Plaintiff in this Order is Ronald, and the Defendant is Tiffany. The document, which is date stamped November 30, 2022, states, “It Is Ordered: 1. That the bonds of marriage subsisting between plaintiff and defendant be and hereby dissolved”. The post further provides messages from Tiffany stating her and Ronald’s names & ID numbers “are edited” onto the document. Tiffany further clarifies the situation while commenting on the original post.

For the sake of Carly, I hope Tiffany and Ronald can work out a co-parenting compromise. For now, space may be what they need, but Carly needs both parents.
