Shane & Lacey – A Tragic Timeline

Lacey Danae and Shane Whitlow’s love story seemed doomed from the start. Shane had just served seven years in jail and comes home to Lacey and a house full of children. Lacey also had an ex-boyfriend, John Slater, who was not completely out of the picture. Lacey’s father was not too fond of Shane or the fact that his daughter was marrying an inmate she barely knew. When Lacey announced she was pregnant with their daughter Summer, the news was not greeted with joy by Lacey’s father. 

Once Summer was born, the relationship continued to go downhill from there. Lacey and Shane’s relationship continued to get increasingly volatile and having John lurking in the shadows didn’t help matters. Shane admitted he cheated on Lacey before their wedding. Lacey decided to restart her relationship with John. Things then really got out of control and Shane was rearrested and charged with animal cruelty.

Last December, Shane was reported missing by Lacey. He later checked himself into a hospital for mental health observation. It was later revealed that Lacey invited Shane to visit with Summer for Christmas, but when he arrived, he had a verbal altercation with Lacey’s father. This horrible situation would only get worse.

As first revealed by YouTube channel Kiki and Kibbitz, Shane was rearrested again on October 31, 2022 and was charged with violation of a protection order. Apparently Lacey applied for a protection order in the beginning of the summer of 2022 claiming that Shane threatened her. She was granted the order and called the police on October 15, 2022 stating that Shane has violated the order. More details can be found in the video below:

Shane’s friends and family were not taking this lying downhowever. They quickly jumped to his defense and established a GoFundMe to help with defense costs.

Shane was quickly able to raise the funds for his attorney and bond. He uploaded a message of thanks to all of his friends and fans for their support. He states that he is looking forward to his trial date of December 5, 2022 to “get this s&*t behind me”.

With the trial date looming around the corner, Shane and Lacey are both keeping their eyes on the prize and minds occupied.

For Summer’s sake, let’s hope that good energy is spread all around and the parties can work things out and co-parent. We will continue to update you once we know more about the child custody and protective order situation.
