Love After Lockup: A Not So Happy New Year for Dylan Smith

When Dylan Smith was released in season three of Love After Lockup, his relationship with Heather Gillespie immediately started down a rocky road. Dylan was looking for stability with Heather. They had been dating since before he went to prison. As Heather indicated during her introduction on Love After Lockup – she met Dylan before he went to jail for drug trafficking.

Dylan’s and Heather’s relationship would not last long. Dylan would later move on with Marissa Buckle, but as previously reported, their relationship would prove to be just as volatile and toxic as Dylan’s relationship with Heather. Marissa and Dylan frequently accuse each other of abusing illegal substances and post pictures of each other in unflattering circumstances.

As frequent and intense as the couple’s fights are – the make-up periods between them seem picture-perfect. The couple frequent sporting events and restaurants and even did a photo shoot recently together.

As cozy as Dylan and Marissa looked during this photoshoot sponsored by fourpercentvision in December, right before Christmas, a few weeks before, Marissa called the police on Dylan – as Marissa has done many times before. Dylan was arrested on May 12, 2023, at 3:30 AM for domestic battery.

On Thanksgiving weekend – a few hours after Dylan named Marissa as one of the things he was thankful for in his life – Dylan went live on his Instagram to show that Marissa had called the police on him – again. Even though the couple reunited for their photoshoot in December, it seems like it was not a Happy New Year for Dylan Smith. First – there was another argument with Marissa. Dylan would spend New Year’s Day in jail, and as seen by this VINE court record listing – Dylan’s next court date is January 23, 2024.

Another social media account has been dedicated to exposing Dylan and Marissa. The young woman behind the account is a former friend of Dylan’s and another long-time female associate. This anonymous account has made it her mission to expose what has happened to her.

Dylan’s arrest did not seem to faze or slow Marissa’s hunt for people for “multiple roles for a modeling agency.”
